How Could I Not Fall?

We never said the words aloud,

Perhaps it was too soon, too proud.

But how could I not fall for you,

With all the nights we shared, so true?

The talks that stretched till morning's light,

Life, family, dreams in quiet night.

You opened doors I didn’t see,

Made safe the fragile parts of me.

How could I not fall, not dive,

When every word made me feel alive?

You were a haven, calm and kind,

A fleeting home for heart and mind.

And now there’s silence where you were,

No words to break, no voice to stir.

But still, you’ve carved your sacred space,

In my heart, a quiet place.

It’s foolish, maybe, illogical too,

But love often makes no sense, it’s true.

You’ll always linger, a tender part—

Unspoken love, etched in my heart.
